I am an independently licensed social worker, specializing in trauma, in particular spiritual abuse. I am committed to helping adults and adolescents who have experienced the effects of trauma (physical, sexual, emotional, verbal,spiritual abuse/or neglect) that can affect a sense of self and relationships with others. I also provide counseling to adults and adolescents who suffer with depression, anxiety or scrupulosity. I believe in taking a collaborative approach to working with clients to reach their goals. My counseling integrates faith as part of the healing journey from a Catholic Christian anthropology of the person. However, I will never use the faith as a coercive means to manipulate or cause further abuse, so if a client prefers not to integrate the faith or spirituality into a session, I will respect this decision. Bethania Counseling, LLC will accept clients regardless of religion or value system and will not discriminate against those seeking services. I am passionate about creating resources for adults who have experienced trauma. I am interested in participating in workshops, podcasts and speaking engagements.
